A Fond Farewell

Dear Long Beach,

Please accept my sincere thanks for your support of, and participation in, LongBeachCulture.org. It has been personally enriching on countless levels, and rewarding to be of service to the creative community I so deeply cherish.

Since its inception 10 years ago, it was always our goal to provide the community with free tools for self-promotion. Back then, it was a much more daunting task but, now, many others have stepped up to the plate. We never intended to compete with any individual or entity but, rather, strove to partner whenever possible with like minded folks.

It has taken a long time but, under the tireless and patient leadership of Arts Council for Long Beach board President Justin Hectus, and members of the '09 graduating class of Leadership Long Beach, they've just launched a new Arts and Culture Registry. We hail the Council for stepping into this leadership role, and finally fulfilling our original aspirations for LongBeachCulture.org.

The good folks at Smolar Corp, responsible for the ACLB Registry, have also created a very usable and widely available cultural calendar called LimeLightLB.com. We encourage everyone to use both free tools, and to continue supporting the wonderful and rich cultural tapestry that is Long Beach.

I will continue to be a tireless advocate for the arts, and continue publishing interviews, commentaries, and other features in my Culture Agent column on LBPost.com.

It has been a pleasure serving you, and to discover so many wonderful, talented, and creative individuals.

Sincerely

Sander Roscoe Wolff
