Long Beach, CA - April 20, 2000 - Long Beach Culture.org [http://www.longbeachculture.org] today announced the release of two new interactive features that were added to their existing web presence launched last month. Long Beach Culture.org [LBC] operates a purely Internet-based business model and related unique cultural destination web presence, or portal site.
On Monday, LBC added a Flash multimedia presentation and interactive chat or message boards for the members to share and exchange ideas, comments and suggestions for the virtual community within the site and the art and culture community in Long Beach at large.
"We will keep integrating and adding valuable member benefits and features to keep the LBC community informed and entertained," states Richard Bergér, Director of Relations at LBC. "The Flash multimedia component is a working illustration of the power and potential of web-based multimedia and entertainment," continued Bergér.
"This is our first step in creating online music videos and TV-like content using the existing members' materials posted in LBC's database," explained LBC Creative Director Chris Sweeney.
Sander Wolff, LBC CEO is truly excited about the interactive chat boards and says, "The Chat Boards are an excellent tool in maintaining the communication between LBC members. In fact, right now you can log on and see a heated debate going about censorship, and another about copyright infringement!"
Launched on March 15, 2000, LBC has had a tremendous welcoming from the local community in such a short amount of time. With currently more than 80 active artists, musicians and performers and more than 200 total members, LBC has received inquiries from local incumbent and running political officials, local newspapers, business leaders, artists and entertainment organizations.
The Long Beach Culture.org Internet business model provides a platform for artists, musicians, performers and other culturalists, to display their "goods" and/or announce their performances directly to a demographically predetermined active consumer audience for free.
The Long Beach Culture.org Cultural Web Portal is at http://www.longbeachculture.org.
