Vigil, Mass, & Funeral for Elisa Gigliotti

Posted on Wednesday 15 November 2006

Hello it’s Lorenzo,

I apologize that this email cannot be more personal, but first let me thank you so much for your kindness regarding Lisa’s accident and her passing. It seems that any words that I use seem cliche’ but I simply cannot express our feelings toward you and for the love that has engulfed our family these past many weeks. Though nothing can take away the pain, your love has helped us. I’m sure that Lisa’s smile is beaming down on all of you right now. These last few days, I’ve been sorting photos of her and I just could not believe how much she smiled and how much I miss that smile of hers. I’ve added a few more photos to www.OurLisa.org

We will have a multimedia presentation at the Thursday Vigil list below.

Below is a schedule of services for Elisa Gigliotti — I sincerely hope that you can attend one or all. Please remember though — Do not wear black unless you like black. Lisa would not want you to be sad. There are many of you that I do not know, but we look forward to meeting you.

Lorenzo, I don’t know if you will remember me, I used to be Jay’s girlfriend, Erica (with the pink hair?) Anyway, I cannot express to you how sorry I am about Lisa. She really was a beautiful person, inside and out. She used to be soooooo nice to me when I was a just a silly kid in weird clothes. This is such a tragedy. Take care,
    love, erica

This goes out to anyone with a gas tank on the right (passenger side) of their car: Be EXTREMELY CAREFUL making a Left Turn across traffic as this is the most dangerous turn to make. In the case of Lisa (and Kathy Avery, last year) their Ford Escorts didn’t give them a chance. If YOU are going to buy a new car, make sure the gas tank is located in the back behind the driver side. And watch out for “speeding bullets” no matter where you go!

Dear Family of Lisa, I meet you all on that dreadful day at Long Beach Mem. Hospital, when Lisa came in. My heart goes out to all of you. However, I was so touched by the love you all shared with each other. Lorenzo, the courage you showed when your children came to the Hosptial will never leave me. As I live in O.C. I was not aware of the wonderful tribute in the Press Telegram and web page that was created or Lisa’s passing. How very sorry I am. I wish I had known her. My Peace be with you all during this tender time. Chaplain Diann Davisson
